Are You Still Saving Money?

It's tough out there for the WORLD with the CoronaVirus. People are dying! It's not really a time to think about money. IS IT? Should we be focused on our money?

My philosophy has always been family and friends first. Humans first. I hope you select lives over money as well. Maybe it's the reason you clicked on this blogged.

However your dealing with this epidemic, I'd like to hear about it. Pleases share below in the comments. I'm not a therapist, but I'm pretty good with common sense questions. Ask away!

Remember that, even the strongest person you know, needs to be checked up on. Check in with your love ones even the ones your fighting with. I'd be the first to admit, I'm guilty of holding grudges on people. During this crisis, we have to learn to forgive, but never forget. Because if you owe me money, I'm NOT forgetting. LOL!

People need detailed stories, positive messages to each other, entertaining video content and of course, GREAT MUSIC. I know I do. What are you doing to cope? Let us know. My fans are family.

If your on social media, you see that the WORLD is united. The people are responding more positive than negative. It's really a site to see. People are singing together, having Instagram DJ parties and releasing music to please there audience. I even scene comedians sharing funny content and thoughts for our entertainment. I welcome it all. Please share your links below, if you want to share your talents.

I'm really enjoying how the WORLD concurs tragedy. However your cooping with this COVID-19 situation, please share below. We all would love to hear your stories. I would like to hear your stories. Please stay safe, stay healthy and bless you and your family and friends.

Let's Stay Together

You have to automate your finances. I suggest linking the bills below:

  • Utilities (i.e., electric, water, and gas)
  • Cell phone
  • Cable TV and internet
  • Charitable donations
  • Insurance
  • Home mortgage or rent
  • Credit card statements
  • Recurring monthly subscriptions (i.e., gym membership, streaming apps)
  • Sinking funds
Don't Give UP

Don't give up on your retirement account. You need to keep investing and funding your account. Don't be scared that the stock market is low. If you know the stock market, you know this happens in spurts, but in the long run everyone makes money in the long term. You have to have patients.

Cancel Him/Her

I'm not talking about people, I'm talking about them subscriptions you don't need. Do you need magazines, when everything is online. Do you need Netflix, Hulu and the Fire Stick at the SAME TIME? Delete one or two of them. Or share with family and friends to save money.

Deliver Me

Start using those clever apps on your phone. They are mostly FREE. Order from home, be safe at home. Order your food, prescriptions and other needed items and avoid the long lines, people and risk of getting the RONA (Corona). #StayAtHome

Remember Family & Friends before MONEY. Once your circle of people are SAFE, get your money safe as well. I hope I helped a bit today. If you believe I'm worthy of your money, please support my daughter's and my clothing adventures below. Thanks in advance.

Children's CA$H?

I remember when my family use to play the game of Monopoly when I was younger. It was so much FUN! And secretly my mother was installing life lessons within us. If you don't know what I'm referring too, please go get the original board game from Hasbro. And yes, it's digital now as well for you people on the go.

See the source imageThis game was heavily influencing for the way I think now. My mother use to call me cheap because when she gave me my weekly allowance, I would still have all of it or most at the end of the week or the month. First off, who remembers getting allowance? If you did, how old were you and how much bank did your parent(s) give you? Comment below.

My saving practices were fugal and safe. That game along with my Mother's other life lessons taught me the difference between Needs and Wants. It gave me life options. If I wanted to attend college or not. If I wanted to go left or right in life. And going left or right is a double meaning. Click any MONOPOLY LINK in this Blog and buy the game. It's a great learning lesson for your young ones.

The reason for this blog is to get in your head that financial wealth begins when people are young. You can be born rich and go bankrupt. You can be born rich and struggle with keeping the money. If you don't maintain good practices starting when your young, you'll have a lot of catching up to do. Don't you want to retire early? You still have time.

I'm still catching up. Even though I had a good mentality for money, doesn't mean I did good things with it. I regret years and years of how I saved money, spent money, used money and knew about money. It wasn't good at ALL! And this is why I'm so PASSIONATE and share with you about Finance. Why I'm so excited about saving, investing and doing right with your hard earn income.

Most of my blogs lean towards getting you out of debt, saving, investing and just being SMART with your money. I'm giving out free information so you'll be knowledgeable. Please check out my ohter blogs.

Below are ways you can teach your kids about finances. Besides Monopoly, there are various other FUN ways to teach your young children or family members about MONEY.

Your PAST is their FUTURE

Teach your kids about your money first. Tell them about your first job. Did you work at a fast food establishment? Did you work for your parents for your first gig? I bet you have stories of your first or any other job you had. Your kids need to know your history so they can move forward. Sit down with them, make it fun. Get the popcorn! And SHARE your FIRST JOB below in the comments with a funny story.

My first taste of employment was so illegal. Nothing like selling drugs or nothing, but I did forged my birth certificate to work for the Newspaper. I believe you had to be 12 back then to sell papers on the street. I was like 9 or 10 and worked for the paper. Yes, I was a hustler baby! Then I found out if you sold out the paper daily, you acquired a bonus. When I did the math and it was practical to just buy all the papers, give them away and collect my check with a bonus.

Then when someone in the neighborhood needed help with their yards, groceries and snow removal, I was on the scene. They would call my house phone with the rotary dial and ask for me. My mother would be like who are all these people calling this house. I would be like, the same people that provide me penny candy, chips and juice money when I want it. Who REMEMBERS Penny Candy? LOL!

PLANT an Idea

Go to Home Depot or some plant store with your child(ren) and buy seeds that will eventually grow. This will show them that it takes patience, care, responsibility, similar to growing a plant, flower or tree. Money doesn't grow on trees, but it takes years to blossom with the same techniques of growing something. The youngsters will enjoy the life lesson and spending time with you. It's a WIN, WIN!

Start a Biz Kid

Why not start a small business with your kids? Teach them what it takes to not only start, but to maintain, research and keep it functional. Even if it's a Lemon-Aid stand or some type of arts and craft. They will appreciate what you teach them and take your information far. Make sure you teach them that you have cost that will need to be subtracted at the end of the day. You may need to buy cups or other materials. It will teach them about all profits are not 100 percent. This will give them a sense of pride when they earn their own money. And they will respect your money for sure after this lesson.

I regret not starting a business with my daughter sooner. I procrastinated on numerous occasions, but I just started a clothing/apparel line last year for both of us last year. Hers is called Cincerly Yours and mines is Cevere's Creations. Our joint company is called Cincerewear&Ceveregear. We have links below. Please support if you can. Thanks in advance.

Piggy BANK

Get a piggy bank for the little ones too. When your walking around doing errands with them, tell them to look for loose change around town. Tell them whatever you fine is yours. See how much they collect in a day. And once the bank starts to overflow, get them a savings account online being recommended, because of the higher interest rates. Some online banks give back 3%. And I'd like to celebrate that I found 11 cent from my walk today.

BEST To INVEST

Teach the younger crowd how to invest with all the money they made above. Start them in the Stock Market young as can be. Teach them about dividends, 401K's and 403b's. Make if interesting of course. Let them know owning stock is owning a company. Have them invest in things they are interested in like candy, amusement parks and their favorite television shows. They can own parts of Snickers, Six Flags and Peppa "PIGGY" Pig or Sponge Bob. And you know this MAAAAANNNN!

Please support my daughter and my #Merch below. Subscribe, share and comment to My YouTube Channel as well. I review Hip-Hop Albums. Thanks in ADVANCE.

How TAX Deductions Help?

I'm pretty sure you were entertained and learned from my last blog about taxes. Well guess what? I'm back to spice up one of the most boring topics on the planet. Don't get me wrong, some people love taxes. Those are the people you want in your circle. They can help you actually get a return or come out even. Nobody likes to owe. Let's get started.

See the source image

Below are deductions that you may or may not be aware of. If you have something to add, please share below in the comments. We all can learn from you. Tell us some other ways to deduct. You know you want to.

Ex-claimer: I am not a crook! I mean, I'm not a tax professional. I just like to learn and share. And ALL titles will be MOVIE titles. And in the comments below, tell me what your favorite 5 movies are. This is going to be FUN! None of the below are mine. I'll share mine in the comments.

Mile 22 or Ride Along

The IRS will allow you to count mileage, but you may have to prove it. So don't just lie that you drove 50,000 miles last year when your job is across the street. I would invest in a FREE mileage app to track you mileage. It won't be accurate, but it will give you a good average estimate. Once you get the mileage, look up the standard IRS mileage deduction rate. I believe it's 58 cent. Correct me below please. Example would be, if you drove 10 thousand miles last year, you multiply by 0.58 (10,000 x 0.58).

"Ernest Goes to Camp" for Tax Reduction

Sounds like a bad sequel to one the 1987 classic titled, Ernest Goes To Camp. Highly recommended film if you like corny movies. But yes, you can deduct day camps only. They fall under gyms or day care facilities. Get the camps information from last year and save. You'll need the camps name, address and Tax ID number.

Enemy of the State

If you paid State Taxes last year, then you can claim that for a deduction. I even learn this one this year. So, remember to add your State tax itemized deduction from last year to the state income taxes withheld from your paychecks last year. And I emphasize "Paychecks" because the average american is working two jobs or more.

By The Light of the Silvery Moon

This is for Home Owners only. Don't skip though, you will own property one day. You can get a federal tax credit for making significant home improvements to you home. If you credit appliances (no toasters) that save energy to your home or add solar panels to name a few. It's called the Residential Renewable Tax Credit. Solar, wind, geothermal and full cell tech are eligible. This policy will only be honored until 2021. Comment below if there was an extension or you know more about this please. Thanks.

Doctor Dolittle (There's different movie versions)

If your in a weight loss, swimming class and exercise program, you may qualify for a deduction. The only catch is, you have to have a doctors note. I like this one, but it's hilarious. Just reminds me of High School when I had to acquire passes to go to the bathroom. I need a pass to wipe my back region. LOL. This scenario can also relate to if you were in a drug or alcohol rehab facility. And all the above need to relate to a health problems for qualifications. Don't try to get a fake Doctor's Note. I know what your thinking.

The End! The end of my tips, but please share yours in the comments.

Thanks again for taking the time out of your day to read and view my other adventures. I promise you quality and entertaining content, if you comment and share my blogs. Thanks in advance.

Have FUN With Your Money! (Ball Out of Control)

Okay readers. Don't read this and blame me for you going broke again. I'm just adding a FUN post to those that are out of debt, saving and investing correctly. Please read my other blogs and watch my YouTube content to get to this stage. Please subscribe, follow and comment on all my platforms. Thanks in advance!

See the source image

Now that you have money to burn and you want to have fun with your extra savings from investing and all your endeavors, let's spend it.

Below are fun bucket list of items that you will enjoy with your love ones and friends. And if you have ideas, please share with us in the comments.

If I Ruled the World (Explore)

You know you've thought about it. Who hasn't? The average cost to fly or cruise around the world is between $15,000 - 200,000. It will vary of course on your destinations. And to make money while you travel, rent out your home with Airbnb. Remember to always make money before you spend money. Developing passive income will allow you to travel the world. My other blogs will clarify.

Shower with a Love One

The title is a bit misleading, but I like to grab your attention. Spend that extra dough on showering a love one with flowers and gifts. Can you imagine your significant other coming home like Kim did when Kanye showered her with roses? I'm pretty sure if he was in the dog house, he was reinstated to the bedroom that night. And it doesn't have to be romantic items. Find something they love and surprise them. I'm pretty sure you will get lucky as well.

Eat Fancy (Don't Understand the Menu)

Find an expensive restaurant and act like you have no sense. Of course do it with class though, you may want to come back. Get items on the menu you cannot pronounce. Or travel to another State or Country to eat. If you have recommendations for my readers, comment below. And what's the most expensive place you've put on your palate?

Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds (Deliver a sky message)

I've always wanted to do this. Babe, if your reading this, act surprise if this happens in the near future. You see these sky messages everywhere promoting clubs in Miami, sports teams, a business in Boston or just something to do with the military. They range from $2,500 - 4,000 which seems high for some thick clouds forming a message, but live a little. Show the person you love, you would go above and beyond for them. Many people do sky writing for Marriage proposals. I'll congratulate you now on your engagement.

Move B!$(%! Get out the Way! (Relocate)

This is a life decision that could be overwhelming, but could be the best move you've ever decided. If you are stable enough to move to another State or Country, do it. America is okay, but I'm pretty sure if you do your research, there are other places that you may like better. The key word is to explore. While your vacationing with all this new money, take mental or actual notes on your experiences. Florida is overcrowded with retirees, expand your mind.

Go on a Safari (Go see your Zodiac)

This is something on my list already. I'm going to visit Africa and adventure out. I'd like to not only see the animals present, I'd like to see and speak with all the beautiful people of our Mother Land. I can only imagine the animals being free in there natural habitat. Our Zoo's are inhuman. Comment below if you have ideas to improve our Zoo's. I'm not a fan of the Zoo premise, but it's the closets I've been so far to wildlife. I'm grateful with a bit of guilt flourishing throughout my heart. Keep in mind, a Safari can cost up to $8,000 - 11,000.

I'm Burning Man!

Not sure if you heard of the Burning Man. It's an event that happens once a year and they transform a part of the Nevada's Black Rock Desert to create "Black Rock City". All are welcome for temporary metropolis dedicated to community, art and self expression. If your not spiritual, I wouldn't advise the trip. If your mind is open to it, you will experience a lift changing event. And it's not expensive. For most packages, they only run from $500 - 1000. It's highly recommended you do all research on all events I'm listing. Especially this one.

"It's on me!"

Have you ever wanted to ball out and just pay for everyone's bill? I have. Well at least, their drinks. Not trying to be in debt again. Please make sure you have the funds too. Check your credit or cash situation first. I could see it now. (Dream Sequence)

You walk in a bar Western style with your high boots and spurs. Use your imagination please. The bar tender looks at you mean with a piece of straw in his mouth. He spits it out and ask you, what would you have scoundrel? You confidently stare at him like you are the new Sheriff in town. You flip a gold coin (your credit card) in the air and it lands hard on the bar. "Every Rascal and Scoundrel gets one free drink on me!" and then you spit out your straw you been chewing. You get the point.

Rent a castle

How romantic is this one? Fellas, you can thank me later. Ladies, you can as well. But, how cool would it be to rent a castle? Our entire lives as children we were told stories about castles. One's with dragons and princesses to save. If I was you, I'd make sure the castle is free of dragons. Princesses too! I heard Princesses are bossy. You didn't hear that from me. And renting a stay at a castle isn't that expensive. They range from $100 - 1,700. I'm smiling just thinking about how I'm helping you save your relationships. You can thank me by supporting my Princesses apparel line below. Thanks in advance.

Hire Beyonce to Sing!

Have you ever wanted to be serenaded by your dream star? Now it's possible. With the right price, Jay-Z or Jennifer Lopez could have your attention. They can range up to $100,000 - 1 Million Dollars. I always think of Austin Powers when someone says, "One Million Dollars!" Youngsters, go watch the classic Austin Powers movies. Beyonce is actually in one of them. It's very pricey, but if you can afford it, why not. I'm pretty sure one hit wonder artist are cheaper. I wonder how much Skee-Lo is? Ask around for me please. "I wish I was a little bit taller! I wish I was a baller!"

Mike Tyson bought a what? (Buy Exotic)

One of the most famous boxers, Mike Tyson had a couple of tigers once. He was in the prime of his life, making millions of dollars and he bought a couple of tigers. I wouldn't go this extreme based on my above comments on Zoos, but what about a exotic house cat? Or some type of breed of dog that people have to ask about. Maybe a reptile. All animals need love.

Shop for Wants Finally

This is the one everyone's been looking for. An excuse to spend on your wants. If your money is right, do it like Nike. Buy a fancy bag or a nice coat. Take others shopping that need things. Go to Hollywood and shop the strip. I'm cheap, so I don't know all the spots to go to. Please help me with this one below. Add some shopping spots that will make you think twice about the purchase below. Whatever you do, budget for it as well. A billionaire once told me, "My passive income pays for my wants."

Jeep, Lex Coups, Bimaz & Benz (Dream Car)

Your dream car is starring at you online or on that parking lot. You see it. You want it. You think you need it. Even though most cars devalue when they leave the lots, some are collectibles. I would look into something you can always sell for profit or not loose much on. Whatever you buy, enjoy it. Be safe, but drive fast when you can. A little over the speed limit doesn't hurt. Just don't let the State or Local Police catch you. I'm not paying for your ticket. Your foot was on the accelerator, not mind. And remember, don't drink and drive.

7 Places Your Money Needs To Go

The Hip-Hop Financial Learner is back to share more information. Welcome back and thanks for reading my other blogs as well. Your presences is appreciated and necessary. Thanks in advance.

Today I'll be speaking on 7 Places Your Money Needs To Go. Please join in conversation on my this topic below in the comment section.

See the source image

1. 401K

Before you see your check, at least 5-15 percent of your check should be invested in your 401K. And if your employer matches, please consider this. Your older self will thank you now.

2. Needs VS Wants

This one is my favorite. I've been preaching this issue nearly my entire life. I was so proud to see my daughter actually practicing this while in High School and College. I love you pumpkin. I love you Baby Girl. She's going to be like, "DAAAAD!"

Basically, you need shelter, food, drinks, transportation, healthcare, HVAC and utilities. What you want is the issue. You want to eat out everyday or weekend. You want to buy the new Fendi Bag. You want to take a ride share. Patience is key. Will power is really needed at this stage. Will power mixed with patience and dedication.

Do what I do. Tell your family and friends YOU ARE BROKE and your money is tied up in investments, which is the goal.

3. Emergency Fund AKA "Just In Case...."

In life there are plenty of emergencies from losing a job, medical expenses, car issues, home repairs or unplanned travel expenses. And I'm aware that saving is very difficult, but anyone can do it. Even that Geico Cave Man.

The most important thing that an Emergency Fund does, is it relieves most of your stress. Can you imagine having enough money saved up, that you can vacation whenever you want. What about not stressing about losing your job. Having an Emergency Fund can free your mind. Now I'm thinking about that En Vogue song, "Hold On."

4. Paying off Debt AKA "Put the Credit Cards Down Please!"

Hopefully your not in debt. If you are, let me help you. I have various other blogs that go into detail on getting out of debt. Please check those out. Also, check out my daughter's and my clothing lines below. Thanks in advance.

Whatever debt you have, make it a priority to pay it off. Your going to be so relieved when you do. That's when you will be able to invest in yourself and become financial stable. A good way is to pay off your highest debt first. Some people do the opposite. Either way, just do it like Nike.

5. Checking and Savings

Number 5 should of been number 1 to me. Now I'm thinking about that Biggie Smalls song, "Ten Crack Commandments." Anyway, most people have these accounts in a brick and mortar banks. Check out these online banks that give you between 1.5% - 2.05% interest. Please Google on your own please. Remember, I'm not a Financial Adviser. I'm a Financial Learner that shares information that you can Google.

6. Roth IRA

A Roth IRA in the USA is usually not tax upon distribution. It's encouraged to add $6,000 dollars a year into your Roth IRA. If your pockets are not deep yet, start off with less. It will take 500 dollars a month to acquire the $6,000. If that is not in your playing cards, start off with only 50 or 100 dollars a month.

7. More Investments AKA "Mo Money, Mo Money, Mo Money!"

Now that you Financial Stable by following the above steps, lets invest some more. Investing in yourself is priceless. Your goal is to retire early. And if you are in a later stage in your life now, you still have time to live. Get out there and cross out that bucket list.

Or invest in your love ones. Family if very important to me. Teach them how to get where you are. Hopefully you are bringing them along with your journey presently. And if your love ones are good with your money, share it. Donate to the unfortunate. Look into tax write offs. Do what the RICH people do. Oh yeah, you at this point you are the RICH.

Once again, thanks for taking time out of your schedule to read and support me. I really appreciate you. And I'll answer any question below. And again, please support one of my families side hustles below. We have that Merch!

7 Funny "$" Savings Tips

Tax season is so stressful to most, so I wanted to lighten up the mood. Below are seven funny money savings tips. I'll start off and hopefully you will share some of yours in the comments below. I'm looking forward to you making me laugh as well.

See the source image

Tip #1: Freeze Your Credit Cards are Under Arrest!

Freeze your credit cards. I'm not sure where I heard this one from, but it was around my college years. Around the same time they were throwing credit cards at me like playing cards. And I was catching all of them. I believe I opened at least four credit cards at the same time. Boy, was that a mistake. Nobody in my circle ever told me about credit. I thought it was free money. NOPE! But I do remember someone telling me, don't cut your credit cards, freeze them! Put them in water and freeze them. Whatever you decide to use, water or scissors, just get out of debt. Please view my other blogs to do so.

Tip #2: "Oh Snap, I forgot my...."

Don't bring your purse/wallet? I'm not sure if I can do this one myself, but I understand the concept. Of course if you do this, bring your license. Something that will identify you. Your friends maybe mad at you when your not paying your portion of the bills, but they will get over it. Tell them to read this blog, they will understand. Wait! Then they will not bring there money as well. Who's going to pay? You can always wash dishes.

Tip #3: Lunch Super(Market) Special

This is something I do whenever I'm around the supermarkets. I'm in love with FREE samples. Not just at the markets, but at the malls. I'm the type of person that will act like I'm three different people, just to get another sample. Hat to the back, hat down by my eyes and hat off and the FREE samples are in my belly. LOL!

Tip #4: You Must(ard) Ketchup!

That's right people, I steal condiment packets. Also napkins for my car. You never know when you will need a tissue. If you take a couple of mustard, ketchup, salt and pepper packets, I'm pretty sure your savor will forgive you. I really like the hot sauce packets. So if you come to my home, please don't think I'm cheap.

Tip #5: Fridge Selfie

Yes, fridge selfie. Take a picture of your fridge when it's full of food, then when you go shopping again, it's like a visual list. You can also write a list on your phone, but your fridge is sexy and it needs attention too. Snap away!

Tip #6: What? A Coupon!

All you have to do is speak with the waiter when your dates not looking. Sneak them the coupon and you are in the clear? Most restaurants have deals during the week. So, I usually look online and find discounts and sometimes FREE meals. Do your research for restaurants, museums, zoos, etc. Full Price is old school, save money and make money.

Tip #7: Bowl Cuts?

There are ways to save money with the bowl cut. Put a bowl on your head and get the hair clippers. Or fellas, learn to use clippers and save on a few cuts a year by shaping up your self and fading your sides. Ladies, you could join us with the BC or you can save on those expensive hair products and make home remedies for your skin and your hair. And ladies, the make-up too. I know it cost to be the boss ladies, but it's also great to save money, not to be funny.

Thanks again for taking the time to read my blog(s). I'm honored and blessed someone is reading. Please comment below and read my other blogs.

Also, please support my daughter, my girlfriend and myself below in our business endeavors. I'm also a Amazon affiliate. Please support if you can. I'll write (see) you next time.

DON'T spend your TAX RETURN!

Hopefully I'm not to late. Did you spend your tax return yet? Do you already have it spent in your mind? What are you going to do with that refund? If your lucky to get one. Are you going on that vacation to the Caribbean? It might sound insane, but a large tax refund is a good way to improve your life style. Here are a couple of ways to make that happened.

Material Things Depreciate

I know the new Jordan's are out. I know the new Gucci perfume is out. I know the new Prada bags are coming in February. And yes, I know the new Tesla's just lowered there prices. But, material items depreciate over time. They are not good investments. The shiny objects in the windows are a bad investment. Try investing in items that appreciate, like watches, property, gold and the stock market.

Hit the Casino$$$$$

You get your return. You say to yourself, Self, we received more money than I thought we were going to obtain this year. Didn't they just build a new casino in Boston? Road trip! The casino can be tempted and so can the lottery. You have to resist the Temptations, unless its the group. "Dum, Dum, Dum, Dum, Dum, Dum!" You were thinking that tempo, don't like Craig. LOL! But put the BREAKS on the casino please. The odds are stacked against you. Gambling has zero guaranteed rate of return. If you do win, my routing number is?

Don't Let It Collect Dust In Your Account

I would always recommend you to save money in your bank accounts that have the highest interest rates. Cash is good! You need cash for emergencies as well, so save for that rainy day. Banks are also a safe place for your money. Very understandable. But, I also recommend that you have another place for that large refund as well. If not the stock market, real estate or something that accumulates funds.  Some people leave it in their accounts and then spend it slowly. Some people use it to pay off debt. I just recommend you use the money to make money. And if you don't know where to start, look for free assistance online or in your community. If you can afford it, I'd advise you get a Financial Adviser.

KIDS! What kids?

We know you want to be the best parents in the world. We know little James is asking for the new Samsung 10 or I Phone29. We know Kim is asking to go shopping. Once they receive those material items, they will crave more and more. If you really want to spend money on your kids, help them start investing in the stock market early. Start off with the Acorn app. Or even the Robinhood app where you don't need a broker. Or you can set up a 529 College Savings Account for them. Trust me, they will thank you later.

Babe, did you see the NEW BLAH, BLAH car commercial?

There are thousands of car commercials during the holidays and especially during tax refund season. They are like crows flying around waiting to get your seeds (money). Buying your dream car is tempting every year. I still go by the saying, "If you cannot purchase two, you cannot afford one." The rich people purchase assets that make them money and then buy their dream cars.

If you have a heavy hand on your wallet/purse, then make sure there is money coming in that balance that. Now that everyone is sharing the secrets on getting money and staying wealthy online and in books, there shouldn't be any excuses. YouTube and the web can change your life, if your searching on the right channels. Buying a used car is okay. Buy a refurbished car. Using cash is a must. It eliminates large purchases usually.

Don't Pay off, to Spend On!

Some people pay off those credit cards and then start the cycle over again. If you do decide to pay off your credit cards, which is a great idea, don't start burning that plastic. Put the cards down. Not to say don't use your credit cards, but just make sure you don't go over 30% of your availability. If your credit limit is 100 dollars, then don't spend over 30 dollars on your credit cards. Simple math equals simple dollars.

You promise me this year a vacation honey buns!

You can still vacation. I actually enjoy traveling. I just returned from London and Amsterdam. I'm saying plan your vacation and find savings. Find discounts. Find programs that pay you to vacation. You'd be surprise on how you can travel for free. Comment below and share people. Exchange programs. Maybe your job even. Believe me, I've seen and heard it all. Plan, Save and have Fun!

Marquis, what should we do with our refunds?

Well, my cashapp and venmo is? Just kidding. But you can support my daughter's or significant other's clothing lines below. Thanks in advance.

Whatever you do with your refund, it should be to help your future. To help your love ones futures. So pay off debt or build an emergency fund. Putting the money to your kids education is key as well. Let's not forget about the stock market or your retirement funds. Max out your 401K's and 403B's yearly. There may not be any social security when you retire.

Just plan with your money. Make sure you don't regret it. Find the best ways to invest in yourself as well. Maybe go back and get a degree. Maybe write that book you always wanted to do. Do you miss doing art? Get a canvas and express yourself. The whole reason I do blogs, YouTube videos or other social media is to share information only. I believe we are put on this planet to help ourselves and then help others. It's like the instructions of a plane crash, you are instructed to take care of yourself first with the oxygen mask and then your kids.
